Project FAITH-BOOK CHALLENGE #1

Welcome Fellow Project Faith-Book Friends!!!

I am SO excited to introduce this area of Scrap Booking to you, and I pray that it is enlightening and encouraging to all of you!

I have had many of you ask me “What is Project Faith-Book”? And after much prayer and thought this is what I have put together.

Faith booking is an important part of scrap booking our heritage!   Even if you are new to scrap booking you will agree it is the best way to preserve memories of vacations, birthdays, new additions to the family, and other special events in our lives. Just ask anyone who scrap-books. You will find that activities and special times with family and friends are the biggest reason for scrap-booking.  With Project Faith-Book the focus is on our spiritual journey and the Faith heritage. Which we want for those who are here now and those who come behind us to remember!  Project Faith-Book is putting the face of God on our scrapbook pages. As believers, we, like Jacob, see the face of God in our everyday lives during our everyday activities (Genesis 32:30.)

Project Faith-Book is basically combining our beliefs and experiences with God and the memories we leave for our children, grandchildren, and so on, (you get the picture right?)  using scrap booking. What greater legacy could we leave?

We will be creating an actual Faith-Book aka scrap-book. That is the reason I mentioned your choice of Albums.  We will be doing different projects each challenge to build on our Faith and to scrap our memories. There will be discussions and comments on the Face Book page to encourage, motivate, and help each other along the way. Keep in mind this is a Christian project and should be treated as such. We as Daughters of the King of Kings are above what is improper and displeasing to Jesus. We are Children of a Great God and should present ourselves in that manner.

Regardless of your scrapbook style, if faith is an important part of your life then you will want to
preserve this for future generations. Let’s begin today to capture those moments when we feel God’s presence in our lives and around us in every day beauty and awe.

WHERE THERE’S A CHALLENGE THERE’S RULES:

So... for the low down....

1. First and foremost - You are required to follow this blog and like the face-book page located here: Facebook.com/CartersCraftingCorner  to participate in Project Faith-Book. If you already have those covered that’s great!! If not please make it a priority. The challenges and information will be posted here on the blog. The discussions, ideas, questions, and comment will be posted on the Face-Book Page. This is a "HAND'S ON Challenge. Remember we are here to encourage and motivate each other.

2. There will be one challenge posted each month. The Challenge will post on the 29th of each month. The challenge closes on the 28th day of the month.

3. There are no special requirements for this challenge other than it has to be a scrap-book layout (lo). Be creative and show your personality. Anything and everything goes!!! So use your creativity and make this special for yourself and for your family heritage.

4. If there are any special requirements for any of the challenges I will let you know ahead of time and they will be also be posted here under other requirements.

5. You can use Mr. Linky at the bottom of the post to link us to your blog page that has your challenge project. Please make sure you link directly to your post about the challenge, and not just your blog in general and send your crafty friends over to join us.

6. If you don't have a blog or online gallery, play anyway! You can send a picture of your project with your name the challenge month and year, and the name of the current challenge in the subject line. For instance, Kathy Carter, July 2013, All About Me – I Am A Daughter of the King. Send your picture to carterscraftingandmore by the 28th of the month. I am not responsible for any undelivered or failed delivery emails. I will email you back and let you know that I received it.

7. If you do post on a blog, please link people back to this blog so others can join us too!

8. Each month, the layouts will be featured here with a short description. Due to the type of challenge this is, I have not decided yet if I will pick winners and have prizes. If that changes I will make an announcement. ~~THE END~~

I look forward to seeing your projects! And the personality you put into your layouts.

If you have any questions, please contact me by sending an email to: carterscraftingandmore or leave a comment here on the post.
